After the death of her mother, seventeen year old Elizabeth Carrington is starting over. In a new city, at a new school, with a dad she hardly knows, it isn’t going to be easy. Trying desperately to find her way and cope with her unceasing grief, she finds herself surrounded by a force so compelling, so comforting, so captivating that she can’t deny its presence and soon fears that if it were to leave her, she might loose her very self. But is it all really happening or has her wavering sanity finally found its breaking point?

Michael’s role in this world has been the same for centuries, but now something is different. He is inexplicably drawn to an intriguing stranger so alluring that he can’t force himself to resist her. Is he willing to risk everything to be with her, even falling?
A dark force, hell bent on destroying any chance of happiness for his arch nemesis Michael, is lurking in League City, TX, and there is no limit to his need for vengeance. How far will he go to seek revenge for his sworn enemy’s betrayal?
Caught in a clash of good versus evil, Elizabeth soon finds herself in the crosshairs of a battle that has been brewing since long before she was even born.

Thanks guys!

Sara

  1. I've spent quite a bit of time looking at this myself, as my almost complete manuscript was also called Fallen.....sigh... I've since renamed my novel, but also came up with these which may or may not be of any interest to you guys. Oh and I have more than one suggestion, which I hope is ok, I know you mentioned if you have a title idea, but hey I thought I'd add a few ideas since they're there in my head. I'm not sure these have the power of fallen, but here they are anyway
    Forbidden
    The Fall
    Halo
    Broken
    Redemption
    Hurtle
    Always
    Lost
    Devine
    Seraphim
I'm sure you've thought of all these already, but I just thought to share my ideas. Good luck with your new name :)

  2. Ooh, I can't wait to read this book-- no matter the title you end up choosing!

Hmm... I'm not great at coming up with ideas (especially for titles) spur of the moment, but I'll try...

~Forbidden Presence (In the summary, you mention her feeling Michael as a force or "presence", and their love is, of course, forbidden..)

... Okay, that's all I can think of, sorry! But I do like the idea you guys have, (Sanctum, was it?), and whatever the title ends up being, this book is still high on my wish list! Good luck!

    Enjoy,
    TBQ

  4. Hi, I just stumbled across your blog after watching your book trailer on youtube. If you want to stay with the same feel as fallen in terms of falling from heaven you could try Exiled,
    Damned,
    Cast,
    Irrevocable,
    Awaken,
    or Descend.

If you want something that might mean a little more kind of like how Fallen accounts for both the fall from Heaven and falling in love you could try:

Fall of Grace (Fall From Grace is taken and personally I think a fall of grace is an interesting take on what is happening to Michael)

Fire and Clay - (Allah) said: "What prevented thee from prostrating when I commanded thee?" He said: "I am better than he: Thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay."
Qur'an 7:11-12 (from Wikipedia)- could be an interesting way to describe the differences that make this a forbidden love.

Morning Star - the literal translation of Lucifer and a kind of symbol for any fallen angel since he was the first (could be mixed up with Twilight books which might be annoying, but could also gain you some readers you otherwise may have missed)

Absolution - can mean a lot of things, but it is commonly found in prayers for forgiveness, something you might want if you were about to commit the unforgivable sin.

Flash Point - the lowest temperature of a volatile liquid where it will still ignite.

I have some more, but these are my favorites. I hope they are helpful even if it is just for creating some ideas for you so you guys can discover the title best for your book! Either way, I will look for it when it comes out!

    Good luck!

  5. P.S. The quote from the Qur'an is between God and Lucifer just before he falls...sorry I must have deleted that.
