Great News!!!

Sara and I just signed our contracts for two more Red Ridge novels!

We have been away for a while so I have much to tell!

First off, Sara and I had a blast in Anaheim.  We met so many awesome writers and attended some killer workshops.  We even ran into a wonderful woman we met at our last conference. (Lesia, you knew you would be mentioned!)  The best part was getting to meet the fabulous team at Boroughs Publishing Group.  They were all so friendly and accepting.  It's great being a part of that family!

The second book in the Red Ridge series called Circle of Lies will be out shortly!  Edits are done and the cover is super-hot!

Pack of Lies got a face lift!  I will post the new cover soon.

My time is up.  I will post again tonight with our new covers!

Cheers!

Somebody that I Used to Know

Every time I listen to the radio, I find myself thinking about songs that would make a good "soundtrack" for our novels.  Staci and I created one for Sinful and Pack of Lies.  The one for Pack of Lies isn't up on our website yet because of some "technical difficulties" we have been having with our web guy.  But, in case you are wondering what they might be, here is our "soundtrack" for Pol:
1. Animal – Neon Trees
2. Raise your Glass – Pink
3. Promiscuous Boy – Nelly Furtado
4. Say – John Mayer
5. Hemorrhage - Fuel
6. Without You – Dixie Chicks
7. Better that Me – Hinder
8. Airplane – B o B
9. Jar of Hearts – Christina Perri
10. Total Eclipse of the Heart – Bonnie Tyler
11. Amazing – Aerosmith

And here's the song that I can't get out of my head.  Love it!  Reminds me of somebody that I used to know . . .

Cheers,

Sara

An Excerpt from A Pack of Lies

Here's a short excerpt from our new novel, A Pack of Lies:

“I picked up on a scent that stopped all thought, all movement, leaving me standing completely still, breathing in a smell that I would never forget. A mix of earth, and musk, and honeysuckle, and sandalwood filled my senses leaving me with a need, a need to find this thing that was suddenly making me salivate, suddenly making me ache with desperation.

Without hesitation, my nose hit the ground as I began to track the enticing smell. I didn’t look up. I didn’t stop moving. I didn’t stop to think about what I might find. None of it mattered. I needed to find the source of that wonderful scent.

In the near distance, I heard a rustling in the brush, which ceased the mission that had held me spellbound. I stopped dead in my tracks and looked around, spooked by what I might find, but what I saw was the last thing I expected.
Peering out from behind a tall oak, a wolf was watching me. We just stood still, staring at each other, neither of us moving a muscle. His amazing green eyes were in sharp contrast to his deep, dark fur. He was a much bigger wolf than me, strong and lean, and the glint in his eyes told me that he was no ordinary wolf.”
